Making a Gift

There are several ways to financially support the Washington Center for Psychoanalysis:

• Make an online donation.
• Mail a check and indicate whether the contribution is in memory of someone, in honor of a living individual, for a specific program, or for the Center’s day-to-day operations.
• Create a lasting impact through estate planning or gifts of stocks or securities.

Fund Development and Growth of the Center

The Washington Center for Psychoanalysis is recognized by the Internal Revenue Service as a charitable nonprofit organization exempt from federal taxes under section 501(c)(3). This status reflects the Center’s extensive educational activities and allows it to solicit charitable contributions from members of the public.

Dues and tuition alone do not provide enough revenue to support the Center’s programs and activities. To foster the growth and acceptance of psychotherapy and psychoanalysis, the Center seeks tax-deductible contributions from its members and the public.

The Board of Directors approved a fund-development plan focused on:

• Board support
• Member support
• Special events
• Grant solicitation
• Memorials and living testimonials

Giving Levels

Contributors may be recognized in the Center’s publications, on its website, and at meetings for their generosity and support.

• Benefactor: gifts of $1,000 or more
• Donor: gifts of $500–$999
• Sustaining Member: gifts of $250–$499
• Contributing Member: gifts of $1–$249
