Continuing Education

Receiving Continuing Education Credits

To receive continuing education credits, participants must sign an attendance sheet and complete a CME/CE evaluation form before receiving a letter confirming their credits.

Participants must provide an email address when registering. Most evaluations are completed online, with credit letters attached and available to print after completion.

Washington Center for Psychoanalysis continuing education credits may be submitted to licensing agencies in the District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia for licensed professional counselor re-licensure.

Continuing Medical Education

This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the accreditation requirements and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education through the joint providership of the Washington Center for Psychoanalysis, Inc. and the American Psychoanalytic Association.

The American Psychoanalytic Association is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

The American Psychoanalytic Association designates each live activity for the stated maximum number of AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation.

Continuing Education for Psychologists

The Washington Center for Psychoanalysis, Inc. is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. The Washington Center for Psychoanalysis maintains responsibility for each program and its content.

Continuing Education for Social Workers

Programs offered by the Washington Center for Psychoanalysis, Inc. meet the continuing education criteria defined by the Maryland Board of Social Work Examiners, the District of Columbia and Virginia Boards of Social Work, and the American Board of Examiners in Clinical Social Work.

The Washington Center for Psychoanalysis designates its programs as continuing education activities for social work at a rate of one credit per hour.

Continuing Education for Licensed Professional Counselors

Washington Center for Psychoanalysis continuing education credits meet applicable criteria and may be submitted toward licensed professional counselor re-licensure in Maryland, the District of Columbia, and Virginia.
