Marshall Alcorn, PhD, is Professor of English and Human Sciences at The George Washington University. He is Treasurer, Co-founder, and former Director of the Association for Psychoanalysis of Culture and Society. His last book, Changing the Subject in English Class, won the Ross Winterowd Award for best book of the year in Composition Theory. He is a member of the Washington Center for Psychoanalysis and instructor in the Washington Psychoanalytic Institute. alcornma@gwu.edu

Arthur Blank, Jr, MD, is Clinical Professor of Psychiatry at The George Washington University Medical School. He is former National Director of the community-based counseling centers for war veterans (Vet Centers), of the Department of Veterans Affairs, and served as a member on the committees on PTSD for the DSM-IIIR and DSM-IV (American Psychiatric Association). He is a member of the Washington Center for Psychoanalysis and in private practice in Bethesda, MD. asbjrmd@aol.com

Christine Erskine, LICSW, is Board Member and Treasurer of the Washington Center for Psychoanalysis and a graduate member of the Washington Psychoanalytic Institute. She is Co-Founder and former Director and Instructor of the Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy Study Center of North Carolina. She has a strong interest in the interface among different psychoanalytic theories and between psychoanalysis and culture. Anton Trinidad, MD, is full time faculty in The George Washington University Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, and Medical Director for its medical-psychiatry unit. In psychiatry, he has an interest in cognitive and brief psychotherapies, neuropsychiatry, and the interface between medicine and psychiatry. In addition, he has an interest in medical humanities and teaches in the medical school's Medical Humanities Program, primarily in its "Film and Medicine" program. He has a Master of Arts in Literature and is presently doing graduate work at GWU in English and American Language and Literature. trinidad@gwu.edu
