Washington Center for Psychoanalysis

The Washington Psychoanalytic Clinic has been providing psychoanalysis for adults, adolescents and children in the Washington area for over sixty years. In addition, psychoanalytic psychotherapy for adults, adolescents and children is offered through the Psychotherapy Referral Service. Referral for medication, couples therapy, family therapy and supportive therapy is also available.

The Psychoanalytic Clinic, which has been in existence for sixty years, has dual functions - to provide affordable psychoanalysis, consultation, evaluation and referral services to the community and to develop a readily available source of appropriate analytic cases for our candidates and other clinic associates. The candidates who monitor the clinic phones offer appropriate referrals to all callers, whether or not they can benefit from psychoanalysis. The goals of the Clinic are:
